SBGOC Sunday School

We welcome all to be a part of our SBGOC Sunday School. Whenever possible, please join us through our eSundaySchool and we also welcome your physical presence at our SBGOC Sunday School. Let us come together, young and old, to Praise Him and Glorify Him, through HIS teaching ministry.

The SBGOC Sunday School has grown over the years. We have above 60 registered enthusiastic students in 14 classes starting from PreK to Grade 12. We are proud of our dedicated Sunday School teachers who work with the children over the year, follow the prescribed curriculum and teach our children about Christ. It is our responsibility to show the children the way of the truth. No greater joy can I have than this, to hear that my children follow the truth. (3 John 1:3 RSV) We are  proud of our teachers and students. children.

Sunday School classes are held from 12:30pm. We start with a General Session where the students are taught Orthodox prayers, songs, Bible verses, importance of group prayers, moral values, and Christian discipline. There are Quizzes held based on lessons/prayers/songs/verses taught in previous General Classes and rewards are given on the spot. Students are taught and encouraged to pray. After the General Session, students and teachers move to their respective classes.

General Session: Students, please note that the prayers and hymns that have been taught over the last few SS years are available in your folder. We will go over these prayers/hymns as usual during the General Session. Over the year, we will be learning more hymns. Please arrive for the General Session immediately after lunch and be seated in the row with the rest of your class and teacher. As you know, the rows are grade-wise and your teacher will there. If you are late to arrive for the General Session, you will miss the part where the songs and prayers are taught.
