The Forty Martyrs of Sebaste

"Praise to the Lord who humbled Himself unto death to give strength to His athletes against all the torments of their persecutors and who by His fast of forty days gave victory to the Forty Martyrs, while they made light of the cold and frost of the lake by night and by day. To Him belongs glory, honor and adoration at this time of evening and at all times, season, hours, and all the days of our lives forever. Amin!"
